Volume problem

I have been using the one plus 5 for quite a while now, but yesterday the volume drastically went down.

I cannot hear my calls properly without going to speaker, and it is very inconvenient. Apparently this is a well known and common bug so if anyone knows anything about how to solve this issue please tell me.
