    Hey there,
Do you think there will a diffrence in real life performance (opening apps time, playing games...) between the two models ?
    Thanks.

No. Simple. The OP5 can only use a max of 5gb at a time so having anything more than that is useless.

The answer is true for now. But as developers work they will figure out ways to utilize that ram to the max.

it's not yet been proven. I asked for a source, and none was given. The information was pertinent, but with no real technical source, well...

Very marginal, as this test says:
OnePlus 5: 6GB RAM vs 8GB RAM performance comparison

but I'd get the 8GB over the 6GB anyway.

    Not in a significant manner.

Extra memory really only shows its superiority during heavy multitasking sessions. For daily use, even 6GB is much more than adequate.

It's not really the extra RAM.

The Pixel also has a more aggressive resource management profile.

Finally someone did a decent comparison between 6GB and 8GB. Android does utilize the extra RAM to keep apps in memory. Check the video here:

Cool. I'm currently at 6.4 GB used, so it definitely uses the extra RAM...

It is still debatable how useful it is IRL though haha.

Oh, it's definitely being used in some way or form.

Question is will people even know?

Nope, normal people just using apps will not know but gamers will see the difference. For day to day activities, it really doesn't matter.
