I felt the same way about the original 5 and the t feels the same. Not a huge phone but I find both to be quite uncomfortable in one handed use. Maybe it’s the sharper edges but I have found the larger S8+ and note 8 more comfortable to use one handed.

No reviews mention it. Is it just me?

The curved edges of the Galaxy phones (and the fact they are both thinner than the OnePlus 5) are probably what you are feeling.

The Galaxy S8+ was awful in terms of ergonomics: slim bezels, curved edges, freakishly tall screen. A case is a must have because the side metal slim bezels of the S8+ would cause hand strain after a while.

Most manufactures are ditching ergonomics for premium, high quality materials. The result is better looking phones but a more uncomfortable experience (without a case).

I'd agree that over an extended period the heavier S8+ would be uncomfortable but I mostly found it quite comfortable to type on one handed (using gboard in 1 handed mode)

I think the 5Ts squarer edges do make it less ergonomic, it kind of digs into your hand.
