    Here in Pisa, by taking images of the leaning tower, I discovered that my OnePlus makes the buildings at edges also leaning - which is sort of grotesque right here...

    is it an error with the OnePlus? or is it a condition with a smart phone camera? I don't remember it from all my Galaxy S6, S7, S8 phones though....

    It's barrel distortion, and tends to be seen more clearly on wider-angle lenses. It's pretty common -- most phone cameras show this to some degree.
