I'm really looking forward to Thursday! I've been mostly mainstream with Android (Samsung, LG) over the years but like so many others, I'm tired of the ridiculous pricing that comes along with them. I spent some time thinking about what I actually DO with my Note 9, and what would I miss with the features OP6T lacks.

Headphone Jack - I have 3 BT headsets that I love. Yes wired sounds better and has more options, but I jumped that ship a few years ago.

Camera - From what I've seen so far, the OP6 and 6T have a decent camera. All I normally do with mine is send pictures of our cats to my wife or landscapes when I'm out hiking. No big loss in function there ..

Wireless Charging/IP Rating - Never used wireless charging, and I haven't lost a phone to water since 2003.

S-Pen - I make gifs with it lol....

I'm really hopeful that TMO is successful with OP. It may not bring about major industry changes as I seriously doubt we will ever see price reductions in flagships, but possibly a slowdown in the rampant price increases over the last few years could occur as more 'average', not phone geeky, types of people are exposed to a viable alternative to Samsung and LG. Face it, most of us in the US finance our phones through carriers, so the difference between a 900 and 1000 dollar phone is a couple bucks a month. Going from 40 to 22 dollars a month is a much bigger difference, and it's one people should take notice of.

I've been an avid supporter of TMO for years, primarily due to Leger's rebellious attitude towards the industry in general. Love them or hate them, they have affected major changes in the industry that has benefited us all, and a move like this is something I am fully behind.

And finally, I miss my Pixel 2XL and am looking forward to more of a stock experience!!

Cheers

I have the Asus Zenfone 5z which is similarly specced but I have 2 lines tempted to get the 6t on my second line I want to look at the pricing and monthly payment they are asking for financing this.

Tempted to pull the trigger... the trade in deal they have is crazy.

Theres only a few complaints about the phone that I see no headphone jack...I like u use Bluetooth I really only need the headphone jack to play music in my car (no Bluetooth in the car), and no stereo speakers....after my Alcatel idol 4s I don't think I can get a phone without stereo speakers ever again lol.

I want to see how OnePlus does their updates with this phone on T-Mobile...will it still get 3 years of updates or just one and then Fade off

Yeah that remains to be seen. I was going to give them a day or two to get their info distributed internally then ask @tmobilehelp on Twitter that very same question.

I'm also probably going to give the 6T a try. Most of the specs are appealing to me and I held off getting the Note 9 for this because I know I won't use 90% of the "features" on a Note and I can't see paying for all that phone to not fully utilize it.

My hesitation is that I have a perfectly good working g Pixel 2 I'm typing on that doesn't need replacing. It's got a great camera, gets updates and has a solid screen. However, I'm not in love with the Pixel version of Android. I can live with it as I like simplicity and minimalism but the hardware outside of the camera is underwhelming. I watch a fair amount of TV on my phone when I'm working out and this 5" screen while adequate kind of sucks for that. It's also not very bright, so outside it can be hard to see. I usually have Bluetooth headphones on when gaming and I rarely play music through the speakers so stereo speakers are kind of wasted on me.

I'll probably get the 6T and try it out but I'm not sure I'm trading in my pixel 2. I may wait and sell it later. Still, there's something exciting about the 6T.

I like the look and feel of stock android and loved my Pixel 2XL, but the Oxygen OS looks like it will be fun to tinker around with.

They have ama today or tomorrow I think I'm gonna try to ask that. I have the Asus Zenfone 5z right now with nearly identical specs to the OnePlus 6. But with that trade in deal at 280 I can't let that go buy lol I'll buy one of those trade in phones off ebay and get the 6t for the 280 just to play around with it for a while
