When I activate my phone the home screen displays the screen unlock PIN option. Is there a way to hide this? I mean, why even give someone the chance to enter a PIN? It kind of defeats the purpose of the finger print scan. Thanks

Not sure what you mean. Both my ambient display and lock screen both only have finger print. After multiple attempt of figure print not being recognized, it will be disabled and you will be presented to enter your PIN instead.

Oh, well, I see i did attach the screen shot. So anyway-I don't know why the PIN shows up when i turn the phone on. It would seem to me that would be "hidden." Now it gives someone the opportunity to enter a my PIN to unlock the phone. This is a 6 do it does not have the finger print scanner on the front. It's on the back. Is this making sense?

I have the 6 also, from my understanding is that in case the fingerprint doesn't work you have the option to get in with the pin as a back up.

Why are you concerned about people seeing the PIN entry screen anyway? Unless your PIN Is something like 0000 or 1234 you have nothing to worry about.

To prove my point, I have a PIN on my phone... If you can guess it I'll give you a tenner. Serious offer.

HAHA! I appreciate that. Any idea how many attempts somebody can make before it locks you out? I think I've seen to many movies where they crack the code....with seconds to spare....
