Black screen problem on OnePlus 7 pro after update

[Android Central Question]

I discovered my screen went black after oxygen update. I tried safe mode and factory reset to no avail. I now used to press volume up + power switch to restart to use set. Once the sleep time elapsed or I tapped the power button, it goes black and I hv to go through same process to restart before using phone. While in black screen, I cannot pick up call or see who is calling until I restart phone as explain above.

Welcome to the forums. I've never seen that issue reported before. Just in case, go to settings - display and make sure that Adaptive Brightness is turned off. Also, are you using an screen protector?

I'll search for reports of a similar problem and will let you know what I find.
