Just testing out the camera after the recent update. Couple random Nightscape shots.

This is what I'll say. If the point is to make one a better photographer, this information is not helpful but actually more harmful. You're bringing up theories and terminology. I showed a simple example (an actual picture) that was not my desired outcome. I immediately knew what setting on my phone to change to get the desired outcome. The application shows that I know exactly what I'm doing in terms of what I want to do. So no, I'm not reading through that crap. Again here's a real world example and not theories about ISO gain or signal to noise ratios or whatever. It does not help me take a better photograph because I already did without that information. Everything was the same in the two photos except for the one setting(I'm not even going to say it) and the person controlling the sparkler light source.

What you're doing is the equivalent of telling someone the brakes on a car is not what slows it down but actually a velocity decreasing timer mechanism. If the car slows down when you press the brakes do you think the driver really cares? And I'll tell you this, no professional photographer who may not have a grasp of whatever the graphs and theories explains cares. They just go out and take pictures , great pictures that appear in magazines and billboards. I didn't know any of what you shared and did I reach a better conclusion in my picture? Anyone with eyes can say I did.
Well put, RaRa. As long as you know what you're doing to achieve your results that's all that matters.

S10e? Why that over a Pixel 4? What features are you specifically looking for?

It's the phone that best meets my needs: smallest Samsung Galaxy S10 flagship; flat screen; good camera; ip68; love the general aesthetics of it; and its price.

I love my Pixel but I usually get a different manufacturer each year and I've never tried Samsung... So that's where I'm leaning. But I'm hoping they will release a smaller Pixel 4 (I think I saw that somewhere?); so I will be keeping an eye on that.

Sorry to derail this thread! Sometimes I'm bad at seguing to other topics, even IRL.

Lol it's all good. I was the one that asked the question. But you have some very valid arguments for the S10e actually.

Re: OnePlus 7 Pro Picture Thread

Just got these but they'll be going back as I have come to accept the fact that in ear headphones are just not for me. The fit is too snug inside the ear curve(I guess). The canal is fine. Also I sound nasally during calls with them in. So I'm going back to over ear headphones with the more affordable Sony headphones that retail for less than $200. But the sound quality was really sweet though. Can't complain about that.

I stopped buying really expensive earphones a while ago. There are so many lower cost earphones out there now that rival sound quality of the top brands. At the moment, I use the TBI I6 Pro which have triple drivers, supports APTX HD and AAC, 28 hours playtime on one charge, Google Assistant, binaural voice during calls, Bluetooth 5.0, etc. All this for under $50 from Amazon. Yes, they are neckband type sport earphones but work for me since I use them for the gym and running. Ear cans are nice but I get too sweaty and they constantly move during my HIT sessions.

Yeah I have some cheaper over the ear brand from Photive that I use at the gym. They only ever become loose when laying flat on a bench but I don't have a problem with them staying on otherwise. So I'm going to keep those for the gym since they didn't cost much and I'm going to stick to over the ear headphones for wireless entertainment and calls. I just ordered some from Sennheiser and they'll probably be the last pair I buy for at least the next 3 years and then I may go for something more premium like the noise cancelling options from Sony or Bose. I have some high impedance options I used with my V30 that are over 100 ohms which I didn't really believe until they drove output from a keyboard that some other headphones could only drive from one side of the headphones. These are the only other type that are comfortable long term for my ears. The in ear stuff just isn't for me and the ear curve ones like the Jabra Elites aren't either. These were only like $60 from eBay.
