Playing around with some regular and nightscape photos tonight. The quality has definitely improved and I notice the nightscape photos can now go up to a full 4 second of exposure handheld but you do have to at least attempt to stay steady. I'm loving what I see after the update. Regular VS Nightscape. And the last image is just a Nightscape shot.

One thing to consider, for those looking to evaluate this camera; the photos look much better on the phone or computer then after the upload to this site.

Yes very true. There is a lot of compression going on for uploads.

I find this to be a really clean image for an ISO of 1000 from the main sensor. Shot a couple lowlight shots I'll probably share later today but here's Bumblebee.

Summer time usually means frequent visits to the harbor for me and the kids. Especially when the weather is beautiful. The sharpness and clarity from both the wide angle and telephoto lens have been improved since the update. Also the contrast in overall images.

Pro tip: the portrait mode works a lot better if you get your subject to stay still rather than capture while they're in motion since the software seems to stack the frames with movement. Out at our favorite spot again. Last set it normal, wide, zoom.

Some unedited long exposure fun with sparklers late at night. The less elaborate ones would happen to be my daughter. Manual focus, ISO 100, 13" exposure and 5 second timer. Interestingly enough I find the flash option completely missing from the pro mode. That's odd.
