Was able to walk the neighborhood. Took more sample shots. Zooming in, I see many shots look like my hand is shaking which has never been the case before. I added today's photos to the Google Photos album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/YV43VJsnC4pJDF978 .<img src="https://forums.androidcentral.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=333649&stc=1" attachmentid="333649" alt="" id="vbattach_333649" class="previewthumb"><br><a data-cke-saved-href="https://photos.app.goo.gl/YV43VJsnC4pJDF978" href="https://photos.app.goo.gl/YV43VJsnC4pJDF978">https://photos.app.goo.gl/YV43VJsnC4pJDF978<br></a>

What is the mode you're shooting in?

Hey Sushi Guy. If the question is meant for me: 48MP jpg Pro mode, placing focus/exposure on my choice spot. Sometimes I also reduce exposure, because the default rides a little "hot" for my tastes. Sometimes I use the separate focus exposure spots, but it's challenging to get that to reduce exposure the way I prefer. I did the same in the night shots, reducing exposure to more closely match what I was seeing.

This will be my last mention of my Google Photos hi-res OnePlus 9 Pro jpgs album. Last night the colors slightly blue shifted at dusk in San Francisco fog conditions, but that's not an issue in daylight. I find that although I don't like the default exposure the phone selects I'm able to take photos that look the way I want. I'm much happier with the camera now than I was a month ago.

Has anyone shot any photos involving pets/animals? I feel like my next phone will be a OnePlus 9 or Google Pixel 6 - I can't spend $1500 CAD on a OnePlus 9 Pro - but won't consider OP if it won't process pet fur efficiently.

Don't let the marketing fool you like it did too me. The camera is a step or two down from pixel, Samsung, apple and Huawei. In great lighting situations the pictures generally come out good but once the lighting isn't optimal the 9 pro struggles. The shadows are crushed and just appear as black and there is some over sharpening especially in trees and leaves. Even after several updates these problems still exist.

I just want to give a heads up to anyone getting this phone if camera is important. It's not terrible but it's not as good as the competition. OnePlus really has some work ahead of them.

I feel like the camera is the one thing holding me back from OnePlus - that and the continuously-enlarging screen size. I've always wanted to try a OP phone, but no dice as of yet!

Nice comparison here between iPhone 12 Pro Max, OP9 Pro and S21 Ultra

https://youtu.be/skNrbHV635g

Bottom line they all even out and all are good.

Review does nothing for me. Seeing better photos posted on this site than any in the video. And the fact the one guy keeps noting pixels, tells me he has no idea what he is talking about. The and and actual pixel size are in most cases a lot more important to a photo. And the lens is as important as the pixel. Poor lens, poor photo.

Lot of pixels are good if you are going to blow it up for printing and not lose detail. But looking online or on a phone. And since most photos taken from a phone are sent to another phone or computer for viewing.

I have Nikon D850 with 45.7 megapixels, and yet the D6 with approx. 21 megapixels will product a better photo with the same lens.
sensor and pixel size are generally more important than the megapixel count.

And if someone wants to say a 50 megapixel photo from a camera phone is better than my 45.7 mp from my 850 is better.....really. And some of of the phones are binning the pixels so a 48mp camera takes a 12mp picture. That could blow the one guy's mind.
