What is your overclock settings? I had issues with the camera FCing when I was overclocked over 800, but haven't had issues with my overclock set in the 700s.

None. It was at 600 MHz for all the tests I've mentioned. I boot straight into the ROM and go straight to the camera without doing anything else at all.

I just flashed it again and messed with over and underclocking with setcpu. I tried 480, 600, 748, and 787 MHz with no luck.

It is acting a little differently this time though. When sliding from still camera to video camera, the viewfinder just shows a black screen for a few seconds, then changes to a full black screen. I touch the screen and it goes back to the regular interface, still with black viewfinder area. Sliding the switch back to still camera FC's the camera app. Same at all clock speeds. Totally odd.

Only one problem with my install i keep getting force closes on my apps. Did total wipe, fresh download tried 3 installs and still force closes any ideas? And I'm not over clocked. Using CWM 3.0.2.8

I can confirm that I'm having similar issues with the video camera. I can take a video fine, but once I press the stop button, it just shows a white screen. If I then move the slider back to camera, it FCs.

The recorded video is saved, and plays back with no issues.

I can also confirm I was able to recreate the same bug with 100% fail over 6 tries.

quick question. i noticed that i see many comments from people that use this ROM that they overclock with SetCPU. i'm just curious as to why since under the ROM's settings, you can do the same thing. or is there something that SetCPU or the other overclock apps do better than the aospcm7 performance settings?

I use nofrills cpu its free on the market. 844/245 ondemand. every chip is different so find where your phone is stable. CMParts cpu control pretty much does the same thing as no frill's. I prefer no frill's because if it senses a reboot it wont apply on boot....saving you from bootloops. as for apps you can do various things, increase VMHeap, compcache (not available on...yet but will be ) You can also turn off animations.

Here are my CM performance settings:
    Jit on
    Surface dithering off
    purge assets on
    home in memory on
    messaging in memory on
    vm heap = 32m

A lot depends on the kernel...which aosp may or may not be working on BFS tweaks will get you on average 15-20 more FPS. Compcache will get you swap. etc etc.

Next update will be a good one.

Why download an extra app to control your CPU speed? It's built in to aospCM7, click on menu>>settings>>CyanogenMod Settings>>Performance>>CPU Settings

No need to take up more space on your phone or sdcard when these things are baked into your ROM.

I use Setcpu because it allows profiles to be set.

Since the update is 2.3.4 should we do a full wipe? or do we just need to wipe cache and dalvik?

No, the 4.4mb file is the custom recov. push that over adb or terminal emulator, then flash the new rom...remember to backup of course
