    Hey guys,
I know there are multiple threads regarding activate.apk, but none for aospCMod.

I really love the mod, but I needed to reset the 3G through Virgin Mobile's CS (for redirect of death).

    I have the following questions:

    1. Is there activate.apk for aospCMod so I can access ##virgin#?

    2. If not, which is the best mod (preferably Android 2.3) with it?

    3. Is there another way to get to ##virgin# or to activate my phone or fix this problem inside aospCMod at all?

So far as I know everybody flashes back to stock to reactivate but there are a few 2.2 ROMs with the activate.apk but I still think going back to stock as the best method.

Any idea where I can find the stock ROM?

Why don't you just restore your nandroid backup, use the activate app, then flash back?

Didn't have a Nandroid backup for stock ROM.

    Sigh... I'll google.

just get the stock nandroid backup linked in the first post.
you won't want the stock recovery, though!

Whenever I try to restore/flash that ROM, I get a triangle error screen, and then it just boots up to the previous ROM. It's actually happening with quite a few ROMs.

Is there a way to install ROMs directly from recovery mode? Any way to get around this problem?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tusing

You need to use the same recovery that the namdroid was made with. Plus wipe and format your data and cache from inside the recovery.

A nice fellow on XDA created a set of adb/fastboot scripts for Optimus V. You can completely flash every partition back to stock with it, should work. In fact I modified the script to be able to flash different recovery partitions for different ROMs as well.
