qpst no active phone?

I need some help. I'm trying to update my prl. I have gotten my msl code through cdma worshop. The lg drivers are working properly. I have the phone being read as a modem. The problem i am having is qpst is not showing up as an active phone. I have added all the coms i can find and none of them are showing the phone as active. i have reinstalled the drivers and everything. Any advice?

Boot into recovery and try.
