Need help rooting Optimus V 2.3.4

I just got a LG Optimus V 2.3.4 I cant seem to get any roots to work..... What can I do? I need some advice!!!

last time I checked they only came in 2.2
did you get yours at your local store or online? if you got yours online it could already have root, even a custom rom.

I bought mine at best buy 5 days ago. Its got android 2.3.4 with Kernal version 2.6.35.7+ I really want to root it but am having a hard time finding up to date info on how to do it....

is there anyway you can go to settings/ phone info and scroll down to the kernel version. or even better take a pic and post it

Yah sure its not the optimus slider.... that has 2.3

Got it rooted I just installed the drivers for the phone and ran LG Esteem root.. worked perfect

This is not the correct forum for the Slider.

Installing anything you find here could destroy your phone.

you might want to go check out the optimus slider forums. the things here are not for the slider. Even worst you could end up messing up your new phone.
