Re: OM-Mandylion....[ROM+KERNEL].....10-12-2012..Update

This rom needs a partition to boot, correct? I'm willing to do that, but I never really download past 100 MBs. If I do, the caches build up, and when clearing, it drops to about 125MB's free.

Correct a partition is needed to boot and either ext3 or ext4 partition file system used. The data partition of the phone gets remounted as the sd-ext and the sd-ext gets mounted as the data, this helpful if the sdcard that is used is slower then a class 6. I have thought about linking the /data/delvik-cache to the sd-ext partition, but the problem would be that boot-up would be slower and the download apps would also be a little slower.

Update for OM-Mandylion, VM670-kernel and LS670-kernel is now up.

I have a problem with the latest update...IHO updater says the file is corrupt because the md5 checksums don't match up

I have a bit of a situation...Yesterday I dropped my phone and the memory card popped out and now my superuser apps are messed up...Is it possible for me to repair the superuser without doing a full wipe?

I would wipe cache and dalvik first, if that doesn't do it un install updates to superuser and let then re-update...... These are just guesses on my part

I fixed it, I had accidentally turned off ADB.

How do I transfer files to my SD Card while running the ROM? I can never get it to access the SD Card.

Yes, does the pc look for drivers when you turn it on? It should if you don't have them installed

It does but I am running Windows XP therefore I would have to manually install them.

You can try finding the drivers on LG's website, though if the system is a 64 bit the driver's are not signed so you may have problems installing all of them.

I'll upload a install zip with a different Superuser.apk and an updated binary today, as well as a new update for OM-Mandylion for those that wish to install the ROM, but not have to flash an extra zip. There well be no need to flash the ROM update as the only thing changed is Superuser.apk, FastChargeWidget.apk and su binary.
