In the OP it says its for ICS and GB built from LG source.
iscream kernel works but there are a few issues. first is that it will flip flop your menu/home keys. this can be fixed by editing your keylayout files in /system/usr/keylayout the ones you need to switch are 139 and 102 in files thunder_keypad.kl and qwerty.kl. i tried button remapper but it wouldnt let me do it. there also seems to be a problem with it waking up after screen off you can get no frills cpu overclocker and raise your min to at least 480. i use min 600 max 806 with interactivex goverener but every phone is different. that should minimize the problem. if it does still happen i just hit the power button a few times and it wakes up. The camera preview only shows a white screen. there is a fix provided by thekraven here. so all in all yes it does work but you've got some work to do to make it very useable. as a side note..... it does feel really fast. much better then when i tried it on backside iho CM7. if you feel like trying it just make sure to do a backup first so you have an easy way back.
GingerBread from Google's source is Kernel-less, I'm cooking a GingerBread Kernel as we speak, because there is no STOCK GB Kernel... because this is the First Ever Stock, Real GingerBread ROM for the Optimus V. This IS the closest thing to a STOCK GingerBread that we have for the Optimus V, It's this or Harmonia which is IHO Stripped down the the bare, yet It is still IHO, a lot more custom then stock.
Just a little semantics here, this is not "stock", this is AOSP.
Stock implies a Gingerbread release for the phone itself. You have gone beyond that and created the only port of AOSP I know of for the Optimus V, be it Froyo, Gingerbread, or ICS! Good Job!
note- stock froyo is very close to AOSP, but it has VM's bloatware.
It was a port of the Optimus S AOSP, which was a port from another phone if I remember right.
Either way it was very inefficient and never had working mms.
I'm sorry everyone that I haven't been online, I been working on fixes for GingerBread, also been doing a lot of work and have been really busy, not to mention I lost my internet for about almost a week.
Don't worry guys I haven't given up on this ROM or any other ROMs, I been really busy, Again I apologize for the inconvenience
Just a thought.. Both tdm and bobzhome have done work on gingerkernel an optimus s gingerbread kernel to make it work on our phones. They were doing it for ICS quatrimus but it is possible it would work good for this rom as well if you wanted to separate it from iho a little more
