He said initially that he could send/recieve with it. Dunno.

What's wild about it working for him is that I used to have to do the same thing in goSMS in order to get MMS to work with just plain ol' CM7 IHO. No one seemed to have the problem sending/recieving MMS except me. Then one day (and many updates later) I uninstalled goSMS and just didn't have a problem anymore.

Am I the only one running ZV9 on these ICS ROMs? I wonder if that's relevant at all?

Sorry CuriousNoob, I thought that's just what we did here. jk jk, I really just didn't see it.

Zv9 does have better reception, but the kernel is different.

V and S are almost identical (hardware wise. Software... blame the greedy phone company) so I see no problem with it. I'm actually trying to find a cheap v or s. If I find a v (and if my girlfriend doesn't claim it) I'm going to flash zvd on it and paint over the home and menu button (and try to get data working if possible) just for fun.
If I can find an s, flash it to vm for my gf

On cm7 until cm9 goes fully stable. You can use Optimus S cm7 roms with no problem.

Well it looks like Cold As Ice is working on Optimus V. I take no credit for figuring any of this out, or even being a DEV. I just like using ROMs. So here's the steps you need to take to get Cold As Ice working on the Optimus V!

    Boot into recovery.
    Make a backup.
Clear Data, Cache & Dalvik Cache.

Install the Cold As Ice zip...
    Download Link - Goo-inside.me Downloads - Downloading alpha9d-cm9-LS670-kraven-signed.zip
    Forum Link - http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-...nd-alpha9.html

    Flash Gapps
    Download Link - Goo-inside.me Downloads - Downloading gapps-ics-20120317-small-signed.zip

Reboot your phone, it will take a while to start up.

Once it starts up you'll notice a few things are still messed up so reboot back into recovery.

Now you'll want to install the HydroKernel to fix the camera.
    Download Link - http://www.teamhydro.net/downloads/K...3-unsigned.zip
    Forum Link - http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-...c-enabled.html

Now it's time to fix the buttons.
    Download Link - http://db.tt/bFtR1sAC
    Forum Link - http://forums.androidcentral.com/opt...2kb-4.html#anb

Last Step, Insatll CM9 Reloaded (Optional)
This will give you all sorts of awesome customization options! It's rad!
Forum Link (downloads at bottom of First Post) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ghlight=preset

Now boot up again and enjoy CM9!

Note: The camera live preview doesn't work but it will take pictures. I guess taking video doesn't work either.

Note: I don't know anything about building ROMs so I would not be the right person to ask, just posting this to help out!
Who takes all the credits? And where do I post the bugs of this? Because this is great rom.

Swap keylayouts through the keys within the zip with the ones from TDM's.

Also, don't post bugs from this ROM on TDMs thread. It's going to have more bugs than TDMs has and we don't want him trying to fix bugs that aren't actually bugs in his builds.
    So leave the bugs here.

I say....... Wait till ICS becomes more stable. Alpha is still first release. IT's IMPOSSIBLE to get everything working while in that phase....... Ya know?

This ROM actually has less bugs than TDM's build and is another overall, but I agree that any bugs on this build should remain in this thread.

Here's my moded version of Cold as Ice: ColdAsIce-3g-vm670-ICS.zip

    Cold as ice credits: thekraven

    Changelog:
Added Phone.apk for LCD Density modding(thanks to rishabh22 from xda)
Added TDM's Apns-conf (Thanks to TDM and his alpha 9)(not sure if working mms tho)
Changed Default Music App to CM9 Music
Changed Sprint everywhere to virgin mobile
Added Home Key fix into rom.

for mms work around use this:

    thanks to cole2kb

    Instructions:
    Flash this rom
    flash gapps
    flash Hydro kernel
    Reboot

Tried flashing and got an error something like "error in sd card/]ColdAsIce-3g-vm670-ICS.zip"
    or something to that effect.
needless to say it aborted the installation. I did a full clean wipe and everything. weird.
