Maybe my search skills suck but could someone point me to a thread that will walk me through uninstalling adw on IHO. When i install launcher pro I and then go to manage apps it wont allow me to do anything to adw.

IT's a system app. You can use Launcher2 on the wiki to replace it, but otherwise, use a root explorer, or Titanium Backup to uninstall ADW.

Well that was easy. I forgot Titanium Backup could do that.
    Thank you so much.

There's always the make Titanium backup of user apps, extract ROM zip, replace system app, then re-compress ROM files method. (Titanium stores a compressed .apk of the apps you backup)

Also I have no idea if this would break ROM updates

I forgot to mention: you'd flash this modified ROM zip as a clean install

system tuner on the google play store. will allow removal of system apps and back them up so you can test whether or not you'll have issues after removal and reinstall if need be. as for a good alternative to adw, would say golauncher but its become rather bloated.

I say give ADW EX a go. Its smooth and highly tweakable.
