Aren't you using sprint firmware?
It only fixes the buttons if you're on Virgin Mobile ZV4, ZV5, or ZV9 firmware.

No it doesn't. I'm on zv4 and I tested your fix. All's it does is fixes data and adds the boot animation.

I did go on S firmware, but I reverted back to zvd and then updated to zv9 from there and restored my vm670 quattrimus backup. So it should work for me. the buttons are not switched in quattrimus.

I'm on ZV4..
I'll look into it, I think its just the way I edited the. KL file... should have used notepad++ as suggested.. I will try it myself with the newly edited file, and reupload momentarily..

If the button fix doesn't work try mine: cm9.CAI.a10F.keyswap-signed.zip

I made it for thekraven awhile ago for Cold as Ice but it should work with this as well.

btw, your fix doesn't work because its just going into the usr directory and not into keylayout.

figured out the issue, it was a directory path issue, it was set to /system/usr instead of /system/usr/keylayout.... it was late last night, this is understandable(but still embarrassing) xD
fixing now.

@Cole2kb, if you could be so kind(the following is updated and can confirm that the button swap is fixed, just got done testing it.. can't believe it was just a path directory issue lol)...

JellyBean Super Fix for the LG Optimus V!
------Installation---(Must have ROM ZVJ WIP CyanogenMod 10 installed FIRST!)---
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvik-cache
-disable signature verification
-flash as you would with everything else

Included is the ZVD radio fix. (Thanks Zakman for providing what needed to be implemented!)
The official CM10 Boot animation (Thanks Nate456 for providing the link!)
LG Optimus V key layout fix (Thank you YoshinJaa for clarifying what needed to be changed!)

It's most likely just an uncommon bug in JellyBean or CM10. I'm sure it will be fixed in later releases.

Till then, we can do whatever we think will fix this issue.
After all, it won't hurt to try(as long as we have a nandroid backup incase we screw things up TOO much )!

Nitestalkr have you tested your fix on other zvj roms? You should try it on hydro. I think the s users might appreciate this fix because hw acceleration works.

I will try this as soon as i download the ROM and flash it to my phone.
And once i figure out a way to fix MMS via flashable zip, i will remove the CM10 boot animation, and make a guide for the 1 step 100% flashable Porting For ALL Optimus S roms for the Optimus V.

Flashed Hydro ROM, with my fix on top of it... Button swap is fixed, Calling is fixed, 3G is still spotty(looking into it, maybe if i used the necessary files from BACKside instead it would work...), SMS is fixed. Looks like i'm actually onto something here!!

Still having issues getting 3G data working, using my fix(using BACKside files instead of Quattrimus didnt help) but at least i managed to get SMS, Calling, And a botton swap fix for my 1 step Flashable Port project(Will make into a separate thread for it soon to Make sure this one doesnt get too cluttered.). All i need to do, is solve MMS and Mobile Data.. other than that, its pretty damn close!!
