What I do is get everything to run correctly in dfs to show my ha aaa keys and use snip tool to take screen shots of everything (including the hex version) and then go into qpst and backup to file. Then basically just use dfs to write and the backup and then use the qpst backup (overkill)

Sidenote got the zvj rooted deodexed to work now using the zvh radio now for that menu home button thing

I think you're way ahead of anyone. haha. I don't even know how to change firmwares to zvd.

What I did was go here and download the zvd cab and follow the guide sammy wrote except switch vm670 with ls670 and zvc with zvd almost forgot place the zvh update zip on your sdcard renamed as update.zip that way when you get done running kp500 you reboot to recovery (don't forget the menu and home keys are switched) wipe data /cache and then choose run update.zip

Gotcha!!! I think I'm gonna try it out. making backup of everything and putting it on my computer first. then I can always recover using sammyz guide for zv5 if something goes wrong.

quick outline of what i'll do:
download the zvd cab. switch vm670 with ls670. use zvd instead of zv5. then wait for it to work. then root using that automated method and update to zvj. Then use lgnpst to fix the data? (I've done that before)

You will use LGNPST for the ENTIRE process of getting from OV fw to OS ZVD and getting data to work. It is noob proof to where there is no way to screw your phone. But it will be a long detailed guide.
