    Hi.

My primary V died this morning thanks to being left out in the rain last night (figures it hasnt rained in 3 months, and the one night I leave it outside we get a monsoon!)

Ok so I rooted and did a custom mod on my 'back up phone' My primary phone was just rooted... no custom mod.

Heres the problem. I cant activate this phone with this rom. How do I remove it? I have the back up files from both phones back when I originally did this (last year) and am not exactly 'in the loop' so to say... Once back to the stock rom Ill just reroot. But the thing is, I have poked around a bit and cant seem to find a step by step, remove cyanogenmod from phone tutorial

    Mod version 7.1.0 RC1

Why can't you just flash a stock ROM over the CM ROM, the same as if you are changing roms around normally

    Download this.
Extract it. Open the folder and click on romtools.
type 3 to install a custom recovery. (if your phone is not rooted, boot into the stock rom and use option 4 instead of 3)
    then after thats done,
    type this:
    7 (enter key)
    2012-07-27.18.32.40 (enter key)
    /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ (enter key)

Then go to your phone and go down to back up and restore.
    select restore.
    Wait for it to finish.
    reboot

    Optional (install stock recovery)
    download this.

extract it, rename it to recovery.img. Delete the other recovery.img move the new recovery.img to the romtools folder.
boot into android. Open romtools, and choose option 4.
wait for it to finish. you will now be 100% stock.
