I'm betting you tried to factory reset from the settings menu instead of the recovery console.

Your going to need to go into more detail than that before anyone can help you.

Hmm.. If you didn't know you had cwm... Did you by chance use rom manager? You probably have an incompatible recovery. I'm pretty sure there's ways to fix this without kdz. Ever setup adb?

The one for the v is gone that's true but the optimus c is still there and someone who doesn't know better could easily end up flashing it

If that's what the op did my idea is to use qtadb to hopefully flash a new recovery

Its possible but the class path to the Java jdk6 java.exe must be set properly, as well as the path to the adb.exe.
The OP hasn't posted a reply in some time now though.

I know there's a way but I don't know the commands with adb. I actually have flashed a recovery from recovery via adb before but I just copied the lines from something I read.

If you can still access the recovery, you just need to flash the Cannibal Open Touch recovery.zip from the current recovery. Then go to the advanced section of current recovery.
Choose to reboot recovery, which will boot into the COT recovery.
Then find the "fix recovery loop" option.
That should fix you right up.

If that doesn't work then we'll try fastboot commands to "flash erase all", then push and flash new recovery.
