Not 100% sure if it's a kernel issue or not but I just tried to install crossbreeder and earthnfires entropy zip to try and make things a little more snappy but neither successfully increased entropy.

Running beta 2b on PAC with Fly-On mod and my entropy is a pretty steady 4096. Runs beautifully, fast and smooth :D:thumbup:

You know you could always force it on same thing happens to me now its working there's a command on the page to download crossbreeder
There's the command for terminal emulator

su -c "/system/etc/CrossBreeder/zzCrossBreeder FORCE

FYI: My CM-10 entropy value reading with theravens kernel is the same as the others posted. I don't think the app is reading actual current value. The value reading stays constant no matter if checked right after reboot or after scrolling thru screens a couple of times. I think all it's showing is max entropy available.

I'm only getting 100-315 entropy value with the checker app on JBC. But now it's starting to sound like it's not the kernel but the rom itself

Why would this bootloop? (Beta2)

flash the removecharger.zip like it says in the OP
//edit:
NVM, just flash beta 2b again... maybe you got an old copy before the fastcharge was fixed and the removecharger was incorporated into it. You can tell if the md5sum of the beta2b you flashed is different than listed for 2b now.
Otherwise, sometimes it takes a long time to get to the bootanimation after the initial flash. Wait a minute or two before pulling the battery.

fresh b6 jbc
virgin fix minus keyswap
crossbreeder
kernel beta3 (still just beta2b, but with chargeremove.zip incorporated)

with or without gapps
entropy3276 to 4096

it is the check random entropy available app on play by promethylhosting, by the way.

snappier than pac.
and my Dev laptop power cord just snapped. out with soldering iron...
//edit: can't find soldering iron but another of the odd shaped power cords showed up while looking for it. Even better.

I just fixed two towers today. Old slow 526MB RAM got Snowlinux. The other 1GB and has Windows 7.

Ok, well if it's not the rom or the kernel... I must be doing something wrong... What version crossbreeder? I've got 3.15.13v2

Edit: rater then continue off topic I thought I'd just edit this post but I got crossbreeder working on JBC now. Turned out I was using a gapps that was a tad bigger and my system partition as too full to allow crossbreeder. I ended up removing a couple apps I don't use and re-flashing crossbreeder. It flashed right but I still had to force it on but. now my entropy is 4096

Same problem here. Link to Gapps that you ended up using? And, what apps did you remove?

I got it flashed, but had to do a full wipe and reflash everything at the same time. If I tried to just wipe caches & flash I would bootloop, old 2b, new 2b, removecharger.zip or not. Just my experience.

I used the multi-dpi ones from the JBC op when I was having trouble. Now I'm using kraven mini 3. Before I started over I removed trebuchet launcher to free up space.... I use adw ex anyway. I got rid of some others too but can't remember now..

Did you have int2ext installed? If so there's your problem. Wiping the dalvik cache with int2ext must be done with a special zip. Wiping it normally will result in a bootloop regardless of what kernel or ram disk files used
