Nextbook w/Android 1.5

My mom just bought my son a Nextbook that has Android 1.5 on it. I don't know much about earlier releases of Android, but will this thing be able to update to newer versions? Does anyone have any experience with it? My son is only 8 but loves playing with my EVO. Any info would be nice. Couldn't find too much online other than advertisements.

This was also discussed on the HSN (Home Shopping Network) forums. One user said they talked to customer service and the answer was no. However, from what I've heard, customer service doesn't even know how to help with the device, so I don't know that I would believe them. On the website for nextbookusa there is a link for Downloads which indicates that an update would be coming soon. So, the short answer is, who knows?

That sounds promising because I have the nex2 Android my dx sitting right here as I lay in bed. And at this point dx wins. This nex2 is ****.

If it's coming with 1.5, I wouldn't expect a huge upgrade if they release one.
