How do I factory reset my synapse tablet?

how to factory reset my synapse tablet

I got this tablet ages ago and stopped using it quite a while back. however recently I have found it but I have forgotten my pattern password so my last resort is to hard reset/ factory reset but I do not know how to do it. BTW i tried holding power button+volume up but it just turns back on and requires my password.

Try using Android Device Manager to unlock it.
