    Nexus 6P gets you close (only 3 GB of RAM), and you can get the 128 GB model for less than $700. This one will also have a better software experience and will experience quicker OS updates as it's not hampered by the Samsung ecosystem.

    Galaxy S7 might be pushing the budget and may also not have 4 GB of RAM (I don't know the specs).

    Nowadays most of the high end phones are very similar in terms of spec. I have tried several brands and find that LG phones have best overall experience. You can try V10 or G4, G5 is a bit pricey in my opinion.
