Pixel C price reduction in UK

A few days ago I noticed that the 64GB Pixel C had been reduced in price (in the UK at least) from £449 to £299. That's about the same price that I paid for my 32GB Pixel C a year ago - and at the time I was taking advantage of a 25% "Developers' Discount".

£299 is not a bad price for a tablet with the C's spec (at least in the UK - I know prices are generally cheaper in the US). OK, it's no longer the newest, but it will still get OS updates for a while yet, and security updates for even longer.

It's a fantastic deal imho. I actually just bought one to replace my galaxy tab s3 after shattering the screen...

You may have got one of the last ones. It's now out of stock.
How does it compare with your S3? The S3 looks like a very good tablet, but it's not cheap.
