I know there are some online quizzes that claim to let you know where you lie on the political spectrum. Is there a truly reputable one? I have a mix of opinions on the various issues, so never really nailed down if there was any one or maybe two that would apply to me.

And I'm kinda curious what others have found by taking these quizzes. Anyone surprised by their results?

In truth your political orientation is determined by your beliefs on various issues.

If you have mixed feelings about a lot of those issues it would be safe to say that you are an independent, as republicans/democrats would lean one way or the other.

I'd be interesting in trying a few out, but the ones I've taken before have all been very inaccurate. I think democrats and republicans are both wrong.

It's not left vs. right anymore; it's us vs. them. Party affiliation doesn't mean as much as it used to anyway.
