No matter what Obama does, the right turns it into bad news.
Which is sad, because this president is not without fault. But because you have some people that are constantly crying foul, instead of us having a SERIOUS ADULT DISCUSSION about his shortcomings, it seems like one has to defend everything that's petty and we never get to discuss where he's failing as a commander in chief.

And once again another GOP led committee has found no scandal. Seems this issue is running OUT of steam. 6 out of 6 investigations down, only one more to go.

Such a waste of time and money. I don't normally say things like this, but this case warrants it: Stupid Republicans.

    A GOP cover-up since they're leading the investigation or a Democrat cover-up?

It doesn't make any difference what the GOP committee found, it's still another Obama coverup on Fox news. Also, don't forget about that angry black woman in the white house who's forcing our children to eat and drink what she wants them to eat and drink. If my son want a sugary drink instead of milk, that's his right! That's called freedom!

Ugh. I don't mind them looking into things once or even twice,.things should be investigated, But at some point when you do the same thing over and over hoping for a different result it becomes a desperate witch hunt and a complete waste of resources.

They have the executive order on immigration now, so now they'll start the talk about impeaching Obama and you might as well throw Biden in for supporting it, so they can put House Speaker John Boehner in charge. Kind of a Republican hero coup d'état for truth, justice and the American way

It would be nice if Fox News focused on the Iraq "WMDs" as much as they focused on Benghazi. Considering we're still facing the consequences of that ill begotten war, that's what really needs to be investigated.

They did that. Saddam hid all of his WMDs in Syria. Case closed.

Makes you wonder if that's where the 12 billion also went that the U.S. government sent to Iraq. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of that money went into ISIS.

Problem is, nothing he did was an impeachable offense. In fact, it wasn't an offense at all.

Really the only thing I see that Obama may have actually violated something or do something unprecedented would be the trade of the Guantanamo prisoners without enough notice to congress.

Then again, Guantanamo itself could be considered a violation of something and unprecedented. I don't think we were meant to hold people indefinitely without charging them with anything. And we certainly were not authorized to waterboard people.

So lots of violation to go around for everyone.

It's not a complete waste. From the article:

"The report did find, however, that the State Department facility where Stevens and Smith were killed was not well-protected, and that State Department security agents knew they could not defend it from a well-armed attack. Previous reports have found that requests for security improvements were not acted upon in Washington."

Iraq had chemical WMDs. We know this because the US military found them. Why is this not bigger news? It's because there's a lot of problems associated with this discovery.

First, when US soldiers found stockpiles of nerve and mustard gas in Iraq, it made sense to destroy them to prevent anyone else from using them. Unfortunately, there were too many weapons and not enough trained teams to properly dispose the hazardous chemicals.

Second, in order to speed up the disposal process, regular US soldiers would simply blow up the chemical weapons and hope the blast and fire would do the trick. That's a bad idea, especially if you don't have sufficient protection. Many soldiers got chemical burns and other health problems from exposure to the fumes. Getting medical treatment in the military and in the Veterans Administration has been a struggle for many of the wounded.

Third, ISIS has conquered some of the areas in Iraq where the chemical weapons are located. So now there is worry that ISIS will use the weapons in both Iraq and Syria. If there weren't any chemical weapons in Syria before, they're probably there now. It's bad enough that ISIS is killing and torturing people. Adding chemical weapons just makes everything worse.

Fourth, the chemical weapons that the US soldiers found were made in America and Europe. That just looks bad from every angle. How did the weapons get there, and who authorized their distribution? We simply don't know.

This is why when Obama announced Operation Inherent Resolve (the campaign against ISIS), he was very careful in saying that he would deploy US troops if ISIS got a nuclear weapon, as opposed to just weapons of mass destruction in general. Obama already knows that there are chemical weapons out in the open. I'm sure there are military planners working overtime trying to figure out how to fix this problem in the final years of the Obama administration.

United States Senate Committee On Homeland Security And Governmental Affairs, December 30, 2012:

"Overall, the Department of State’s base requests for security funding have increased by 38 percent since Fiscal Year (FY) 2007, and base budget appropriations have increased by 27 percent in the same time period."

"Neither the Department of State nor Congress made a point of providing additional funds in a supplemental request for Libya, or more specifically, Benghazi."

So I was watching the Sunday morning news shows and learned some interesting things.

    1) Fox has barely made mention of this report. CNN pointed this out and then aired some VERY inflammatory back to back clips from various shows on Fox when the story broke claiming the President "left people to die". This report proves all that false and I think Fox has a responsibility to make retractions and do correct reporting, but of course they won't. Which is why they should be required to either strip the word "news" from their title, or just go off the air. They are presenting themselves as something they are not.

    2) Regarding Benghazi and this report, Republican Lindsey Graham called the report crap and not true. When pressed on that and asked why would a Republican led investigation be wrong and not telling the truth, Graham replied "That's a good question".

Unbelievable. He seemed to think that the next investigation will turn up something different. And that if if it didn't it would "blow up in his face" not seeming to understand that after many investigations that proved nothing, it ALREADY has blown up in his face and that he looks like an *****. As does any other Republican who dismisses their own reports just to carry on a false narrative and false talking points.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I still am a bit. It shows how disingenuous the Republican party has become.

LOL...I am sure it will be scheduled back into the rotation at some point. I'm picturing some war room with a big whiteboard where they plan their talking points for the next year.
