I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 on Rogers.

    Model Number SGH-I747M.
    Android Version 4.1.1
    Baseband Version I747MVLDLK4

For around a month or two I keep getting a "Software Update" notification. It says "firmware downloaded". I wanted to check it out before installing it so chose the "install later" option. The icon remains in the notification bar, so if I click on it and get "App Info" it says it's Software update version v5_1209_3_1. Size is about 228KB. I googled "v5_1209_3_1" and came up with hardly anything relevant. I have not plugged the phone into Kies. Anybody know if this is okay to install or how I can find out more about what it is?

    Cheers
