Neat...teaser photo on gottabemobile.com.
I like the Droid brand. I just assume people mean Android when they say 'Droid.
I am wondering if these rumor Droid phones are just the last in assembly line before they close shop to make way for motorola "a Google Company". I would think Google would want to phase out the Droid line so they have clean slate to work from. I presume Google working towards Motorola to be more minimalistic and mirrors Google's focus on connect a vast array of people. I just see the continuing Droid line and Motorola's new direction fine it nessary to push both vastly different agendas.
Changing Droid line image to reflect Google's new direction for the company seems counter intuitive.
I think Motorola is perfect company for Google to build a product line that reflects Google like G1 did but be more accessible.

The question is how many more years are left in the contract that Motorola has with Verizon. Droids will likely continue until then . . .

Google, Verizon and Motorola let the Droid line go. It's time to move on and start new beginnings. People need to learn that every Android device is not a "Droid" or that "S something... it's a Droid right?"

People also need to learn that not all DROID-branded phones are Motorolas.
I'm only aware of 3 OEM's that have made DROIDS.
BTW, it looks like the RAZR name might be going into a second retirement.
via @evleaks: Coming to Verizon, all from Motorola: DROID Ultra in black/white/red, DROID Mini (b/w), DROID MAXX (& Moto X in b/w)
