I recently read an article I thought I'd share... It's by Slashgear and talks about Alienware having some unofficial and preliminary plans for smartphones and tablets. Here's a link...

Alienware’s tablet and phone are designed (you just can’t have them yet) - SlashGear

It got me thinking, because the article basically states that Alienware feels that today's technology isn't quite up to what they would want for their brand, does that mean that when they do decide to release a phone or tablet that it's going to be ridiculously spec'd out and blow our minds? I guess it would have to be now that they've talked it up to such a degree...

The article doesn't say whether the devices would be Windows or Android but I sincerely hope Android! An Alienware Android smartphone sounds good to me. How about you? What specs would you like to see? What kind of design? And most importantly what features do you envision in an Alienware phone or tablet?

I would obviously want an LED Alien head on the back (customizable color, of course). If I could get it in Red to match my M11x R3 that would be even better.

    Bring it !!!

I like that idea of the Alien head logo! I think even more LEDs would be cool too. Like some lines for aesthetics or maybe the word Alienware above the screen. I think a snapdragon 800 would suffice at 2.3 w/4gb RAM and at least 32 storage+SD support. I would want the latest version of Android either stock or with some sick Alienware theme!!!

As for features, it'd be nice if they bundled some cool games, maybe exclusives to the phone or stuff that's not even out yet, that take advantage of all those killer specs. Also if they could make the Google now voice sound different, like an alien or a robot or something that might work. Alienware wallpapers would be a must.

also...1080p is a must! And a decent battery... Maybe 3500.

Plus.. some crazy accessories like game controllers, cases speakers, headphones maybe a keyboard... All Alienware branded of course.

I would probably buy it if it had the specs I described in my previous post. Even at 1000 bucks!! And most if not all of it could be done today... But tech will always get better as time goes on. I can't wait to see an Alienware phone!!

I used to have an alienware aurora from the pre-Dell company and it was a monster. I now go with custom components, but back then alienware was amazing. I'd love to see them come out into other segments, and have been very impressed with what I'm seeing for this year's announcements so far.

Not 3500 make it at least 5000 or 6000 then that would make it awesome. And I don't see the point in making a android gaming phone I mean who on earth has time to play full fledged games while on the move seems pointless but having improved use of better materials such as carbon fibre better ventilation some how and also if there is a better processor that supports advanced 4g would be awesome
