With the active stylus revelation, I tried to convince my wife of it. She loves it on her Notes, but hates all the issues with Samsung updates. She didn't go for it. XD

Besides, Verizon requires a new line of service for the free one. Since most people aren't looking to add a line, it's really not a good deal at all.
I wonder if she prefers it because it's integrated into the device.

Wow! A new phone is always exciting!! It should be a great upgrade for you and you are used to the LG homescreen and apps. BOGO is also a great deal. Is it one for you and one for the lucky wife?

For me it's my lucky daughter lol. She went with the while and I took the blue.

Welp it looks like all my camera testing is going to be done indoors or on specified trips to the grocery store or gas station. Maybe I can get out today (practicing social distancing of course) and give the camera a spin before the shut down goes in effect.

Get yourself a levitating wand and go off to a secluded area some night, and have fun! :pPSX_20200328_181122.jpeg

A levitating wand? Wow. Might have to do that even if its just out front of my place. Never used one before.
This is the one I got and that was my first night with it. It works well, but I'm still getting use to handling it. There's tons of videos on YouTube on how to use them.

The photo above was shot with my DSLR with rear curtain flash from a speed light. This is the best my current Razer Phone can do, due to the firmware maxed 1/3" shutter. I tweaked it some with Adobe Photoshop Express too.PSX_20200327_095953.jpeg

Yeah sadly LG dropped rear curtain flash from the manual mode.

What?!?!

Dang, I thought I saw it in one of the preview videos. Not a huge loss, I guess. The one on the V20 never was that great. I love the concept, but I've learned you really need a true flash to make it work. The LED on the phone was just too low powered and slow.

Yeah just little things they stripped away to make their phones more mainstream while still offering one if not the best manual mode for photos and video (well I think Sony with their camera division working with mobile has them beat) on a mobile phone. Huawei is pretty close too.

I've heard Sony is good in the phone market, but none of theirs are offered through Verizon, so never messed with one myself.

Yeah the last Sony phone I remember being supported by a US carrier was the Xperia Z3 which was my first Android phone. The T-Mobile reps actually took my picture with the phone as apparently I was the first person to purchase one. It was a nice phone at the time and the battery life was excellent. I think Verizon got a different iteration of the Z3 and then that was it.

The V60 may not have the best camera but it is still really good and this is only in auto. With a few manual changes you can get even better with it along with the benefit of all the extra features the V60 has. And finally a nice front facing camera.

I was just looking into Verizon's info more. I thought the dual screen was bundled with the phone, but it's not. You have register for it, then wait 3-4 weeks for it to arrive. I was hoping not to have to buy a case for the phone (when I get around to ordering, of course) since the dual screen case looks to protect well, but I guess I'd need at least a cheap one.
I purchased this case and it is pretty solid, it will do nicely until my dual screen arrives. A lot better than I expected...

It also appeared that the stabilization might not have been turned on with the V60. I've seen other shots with it that the stabilization did significantly better than it did in this video. But when you compare all other features and the price, I don't see how you can go wrong with the V60. For me, If I'm photographing something that I care about all of those issues I'm going to use my mirrorless camera anyway. But it was a good comparison.

I did get a chance to get a little tonight for some quick shots using auto and manual mode and a few night view shots. Tested a few shots at 5x zoom as well and I must say the results came out very nice. In no particular order. Here we go.
