I just got mine today, and I'm struggling to see the words. I set it to the largest font and made screen zoom 125%. But. not all screens reflect those changes. I'll try tinkering with resolutions next.

So far I like Android better. But, I'm committed to setting this up so my husband can finally get rid of Windows 10.

I hate the SCP on-screen keyboard. But, you have no other option I can see.

The Kindle app will only show in a small window in portrait mode. Does anyone know how to fix that?
Had the same issue myself, with apps in portrait tablet mode only showing as middle of the screen landscape apps. Weird why Samsung/Google did this. But the fix for me that I found on Reddit was to go to settings and in settings scroll to Google Play Store (beta). Then tap on preferences next to Manage your Android. Go to About Device then tap multiple times on build number. It will then give you developer options. back out one step and then go to developer options. Toward the bottom it says "window orientation". Make sure "use activity preference (default) is selected. Try closing and opening the Kindle app again and it should work fine. Works for all the apps I have been using now. Good luck!

I want to do some audio editing on my Chromebook. I installed Lexus Audio Editor and it seems to run. I have an audio file on an SD card. Clicking the open button gives me options of files located in Android memory structure. I have no idea how to put my file in this emulated space or to create the emulated space. How can this be done?

    Thank you for your help,

Curious if this is gonna be a good fit for me?

I've been a Windows user forever (and an ancient mac book pro my job makes me use). I've never used a Chromebook before. I've been running a Surface Pro 4 for a couple years and have been pretty happy with it. Only negatives have been tablet software is not impressive and battery life is too short.
My wife has been eyeballin my Surface a lot lately and been wanting to use it for school. I've been eyeballin the Samsung Chromebooks lately. I never thought anything would come of it.

However, I was granted a bunch of money to spend on my classroom last week and was able to spend a portion of it on a Samsung Plus. I figured she cold take the Surface for school and I could use the Plus as my main laptop. I primarily do my work in Google Docs and Slides and that's typically as intensive as it gets. I also like the idea of having Android Apps available. I got a bunch of Spheros coming my way to help teach some introductory coding and figured I could use the Sphero EDU app on the Plus.

I guess my big concern is power. Going from an i5 with 8gigs on the Surface down to an ARM with 4gigs? That's a pretty big power difference.

I currently have a Nexus 9 and got my husband the Galaxy Tab 3 several months back not knowing anything about Chromebooks. I need a new tablet and was interested in the Tab 3 than I came across the Chromebook plus and how it does Android apps and I like that it has a bigger screen comes with keyboard and can be used as a tablet. My main use would be watching my Tivo recorded shows with the Tivo app which I would hope works and maybe to play some of my games I play on my phone. I do play a slot machine game now on my tablet some but use my phone mostly my tablet is ok but lags and is old and not getting anymore updates. I want something different and read the Chromebook Plus is good.

Got an email yesterday that the new Chromebook Plus V2 was supposed to come out today at Best Buy but it didn't and on Samsungs website it says coming soon. I am interested to try it and was wondering how you guys still liked your Chromebook. Best Buy had it on sale for 404 now it's 421 but I might as well wait for the new one it will be 499 I read. It has HD 1080P Intel processor but is it worth it? I do like the 12 inch screen and like that it can do Android apps over getting a laptop and I like it can also be in tablet mode. Would you guys still recommend it now and how well has it held up? I haven't really seen any Android tablets with more than maybe a 10 inch screen. I think the new Chromebook said 12.2. Trying to decide what to get. On Best Buys website someone mentioned the Auss Flip too so I don't know which is better. I read it has better keyboard and backlit but this has better screen. Not sure how latest Samsung will be and when it's even going to be out. One Article said 6/24 but it's not. Thanks!
