Hello guys, I have a Samsung A5 2016 from a couple of days. It's my first Android Phone.
Is there any way to directly call a name in call list? Now you have to choose it in call list, and on his profile, press green call button.
And any way to block screen without press side button? I know, there is the timeout after a X amount of time, but any shortcut/gesture?

Welcome to Android Central! One way to approach this is to create a homescreen folder full of Direct Dial widgets for your favorite contacts. It's like having a folder full of speed dial contacts. Just tap the Direct Dial widget for a particular contact, and it will immediately dial the number you associated with that widget when you created it.

Re: your second question, check the Settings>Accessibility menu or the Gestures menu to see if there is anything that allows you to turn off the screen with a hand gesture. Otherwise, you could install a 3rd party app like Double Tap To Screen Off.
