Hi,
I have a 2017 A5 which has generally been great. A short while ago during phone calls the other person would complain 'you've gone really distant/I can't hear you clearly'. This problem was very intermittent, and part of the call might be fine, or more often the call would end up being abandoned.
I looked at the mic which I think is the tiny paperclip size hole by the charging point - is that correct? I couldn't think how to try and clean that out.
I started using an external microphone/earphone headset, and that worked fine. Now calls with the external mic have started to behave in the same problematic way. I tried a different microphone/earphone headset, the problem continues.
Any suggestions please on what I might try?
I'm going to pick up a can of compressed air, to try blow out the phone mic. But since this problem is also occurring with headsets, it's not likely to help much!
It seems more of a software or hardware issue?

I welcome any suggestions.
Thanks
