Galaxy Ace - Opening .nomedia files

Hi,
Is there any way to open .nomedia files? I'm trying to see if I can save snapchat files, and I've already found the files in myfiles that I am looking for, and moved them onto my computer. In my phone under details for the files, their names ends with .jpg.nomedia
but when I try to rename these files while in my phone, it only ends with .jpg
Furthermore, after moving such files onto my computer, the videos end with .mp4 while the images end with .jpg
The .nomedia portion is removed while on computer.
So is there a way to open such files? I cannot open them by any orthodox means.

Example of names: sesrh_dlw211388013366089.mp4 & h1a81hurcs00h1388013330224.jpg
