Unlocked AT&T G850a: To root or not to root?

Hi all!

I just received my brand new, unlocked G850a. I'm a Net10 customer until the end of this month. Then I'm traveling the world for at least a year. I'm considering rooting the phone, but would like feedback. If I do root it, I would have a professional do it.

My reasons for rooting:

* I'd like to completely remove all AT&T related software. (Merely disabling it will not satisfy my needs.)

* I'm considering upgrading to Lollipop. (Opinions welcome.)

* I may need to use my phone as a free tethered mobile hotspot.

Reasons not to root:

* Less secure from hacking.

* Much greater possibility of accidental bricking.

* If "materials or workmanship" of the phone fail, the Samsung warranty will be voided.

If you're a proponent of rooting, is there a person, service or software that you'd recommend to safely do it?

Thanks in advance for any insights you can provide!

AT&T has convinced me with their bloatware. I want to root NOW! Any recommendations on a service I can trust? I know this phone makes it tricky.
