Media controller doesn't function?

I'm using a galaxy note 2 and when using the Media controller with google music as well as touchwiz media player, I'll see the name of the tack, adjust volume with no problems but I cannot pause or cycle through tracks. Am i missing something here? Please let me know, thanks!

Had the problem a little while ago. Sounds dumb but a reboot of both devices fixed it for me

I've done multiple reboots to both devices with no result unfortunately Thanks for the advice though. I was able to make sure I was able to cycle through tracks by using another bluetooth controller like my car head unit. The application is set up to receive controls but the app seems to not want to play nice.

Is there any documentation to this app or is there no way to troubleshoot this?

And out of nowhere the media controller is working. Sweet!

Yeah it can be buggy, I think especially if you're not using it with Samsung's music player.
