do Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo work across providers

I am just wondering if buying a Gear neo 2 from AT&T I can then use it with a Verizon or T-Mobile phone. AT&T is telling me that it only works on their phones, that seems weird.

They're telling you that because they want you to purchase from them. Far as I know, the Samsung watches (GG, G2, G2 Neo) are not carrier specific.

You can buy your Gear 1, Gear 2 or Neo from any place that you want because they are really just BT accessories and will work with any carrier as long as you have a compatible phone. I have both Gear watches (1 & 2) and bought them from different places with no problems.
