Is there a risk ? What is the disadvantage of having a costum rom ?

You are typically responsible for updating the device. Updates happen when the developer has time for them. On a more popular device this isn't a problem.

With gaining root access, there is always a possibility of bricking the device.

The benefits of a custom ROM far outweigh the cons.

If you wish to do it, know how, and there is one available. XDA Forums is a good place to look. Read about it thoroughly first.

It's going to depend greatly on if a developer made a ROM for your device. A grand duos may not be popular enough to warrant that kind of time.

The video is ok for general steps. He did skip over the fact of the phone needs root for apps like Titanium backup.

I found a recovery. It's TWRP which is a good recovery: [recovery] [stable] [official][2.8.6.0] twrp | Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082

Here is CyanogenMod: [ROM] [6.0.1_r43] [UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 1… | Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082

I would watch a few more general videos on how to install your ROM and recovery.

There is always a chance of bricking the device. If you do everything for your specific device, it's minimal, but possible. I saw a CWM in XDA, I'll try to remember to link it later.
