I understand that switching the default download location to SD card is no longer possible in recent android version (if im wrong then sorry!) but strangely, mine ends up to the sd card, even if I didnt do anything about it and my phone is a samsung j5 marshmallow.

Saving space in my internal memory is kinda good, but having to delete the stuff saved in my sd card just so i can download other stuff is stressing. I somehow found out that my downloads go unsuccessfull if my sd card no longer has enough space for the said file.

my phone is in no means rooted (i dont even know how to do that) and i swear i havent done anything to it. how can i switch my default download location BACK to my INTERNAL STORAGE?
