Samsung J3 2016 storage too full

Hi I'm new to the forum, I recently got samsung j3 2016 and it's only 8GB. I bought an android san disk 32GB SD card for it and it still keeps saying the the phone storage is full. I have to regularly use the smart manager to clear the ram and storage and it dosent seem to have an option to have the SD card as default storage.

Is there a way to make it default storage or do I need to find another phone??

Please help.

sd card can't be the main storage for the phone, they're slower than device memory and more likely to fail. sd card is primarily for media, things like music and photos.
