    i have a samsung galaxy mega 5.8 and I would like to root it but I'm getting mixed up between all the methods over the internet. is it better if I used apps to root such as iroot or should I use to odin or kingo root??? plz provide me with a safe and easy method that you reccomand.

    Welcome to the forums. What version of Android do you have? What is your build number? That can be located in Settings>about device.

    The best methods are any one that will work on that phone with that version of Android (and that kernel date, in some cases). All rooting does is copy one file to the phone and install one app. Most of them do t the same way for a given phone/version combination. (It's difficult enough to find a way to root a phone, so why duplicate the effort once a way has been found to root that particular setup?)
