How to reinstall my Google Photos icon?

For some reason the Google Photos icon is gone from my tablet. I probably deleted it long ago. Only way to access it now is by Google + then choosing photos. It's not in the turned off app section or anywhere in the application manager. I have looked on the Web with no luck. Looked for a way to contact Google for apps help with no luck. Anyone have ideas without wiping/restoring the tablet?

That's weird. It's not in your App Drawer? Photos is part of Google+, so it won't show up by itself in the App Manager, and therefore can't be disabled on its own.

Correct. Nowhere in the app drawer. I am going to try uninstall/reinstall of Google + and see if it comes back. I have the same version on both cell and tablet at the moment.

Reinstalling didn't work. Still no icon. Oh well. At least I can access it with the actual Google + icon.

Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? I too have this problem
