screeen goes blank

tablet fell down and screen goes blank, but the touchscreen is working. I can open the apps and sense the touch but can see nothing. What would have happened to the screen? Any suggestions?

take out the battery for 10 minutes and after that turn it back on
can you get into recovery mode or download mode

Possibly connector on back of screen has come loose,,,,

It's a pretty common problem with these. I just had it happen to mine before sending it in. The ribbon cable underneath the back gets jarred out of place. You need to remove the back, unplug the battery, unhook the ribbon cable, then hook everything back up and see if it works.
