Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - PROBLEM. SNote copies text and deletes forward!

I love snote and out of all the high end stylus' I have used, the spen is still by far the best. HOWEVER...when I place the cursor next to text to be deleted, it copies the text beside it, inserts it and the will only delete foward. THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! I hope someone out there has a fix.

P.s already tried the spacebar before deleting method to no avail.

Text input seems to be different on different apps, have you tried another note taking app?

I had cursor jumping problems with UC browser, but not in Google Chrome.

What version of the firmware do you have? I suggest downloading firmwares from a good source like Sammobile and flashing official ROMS onto the device to get the latest updates. Samsung is hooooooorible at updating this device. I have no idea why they don't update the same version of the tablet at once everywhere in the world. Apple (as much as I dislike the company) does it...
