Galaxy Note 10.1 - Default browser

I'm tired of having to pick "boat" as my default browser. I keep making it my default but keeps asking me all the time to make it default over and over. When I go to=o apps, I can't seem to disable or un-install the native browser. Any suggestions?

What if you try some other browser - like chrome - to set as a default browser? what happens then?

Need to be rooted to remove native browser.
