    message says not compatible with this version.
    I assume they mean the browser and if this is so can I use a different browser like Firefox or chrome to get the Hbo now app

    I think you have to use the tablet version of the HBO app.

    The hbo now app itself may not be compatible with your tablet. It is an independent app and doesn't run through a browser. Give it time. It may not be compatible with android tablets yet. It just came to android not too long ago.

    I have the GT-N8013 note 10.1 running 4.1 and I was able to download the app and tested it, it ran fine.
