Anyone know what this is? And what it does?
I see it in AT&T Securities.
What do you mean that you see it in AT&T Securities? Is this a preinstalled app, or did you suddenly find it installed on the phone one day?
Here's more info: LocalBlox. Looks like it's all about data analytics.
Well I didn't have a lock screen enabled and att Securities always showed my device was not protected, clicked on it and it showed a list of apps, like fb, Instagram, etc and it was in the list.
I looked in my apps, it's not there. Looked in my downloaded apps in play store, not there, searched in play store, first thing that came up was Lookout, wondering if it's something to do with that.
Here is screen shot of it in list
Go to Settings>Apps, then tap Menu>Show System. Does LocalBlox show up now? If so, then it's a preinstalled bloatware app from AT&T.
I did what you suggested, it's not there.
It shows a (x) beside it like I can delete it.
I did not download it, unless it's used in another app.
Don't know if I should delete or leave it. Lol
That 'X' on your screenshot won't remove the app, it will just remove it from the Security app search. Weird that you can't find it under all apps.
What I read says that Localblox is like a Facebook app for neighbourhoods, but I can't find how it's installed, maybe part of your carrier bloatware.
Just in case, go to your security settings and see if it listed under device administrators.
It might be integrated into the system. Look through all of the apps that start with "com.android" and see if any of those include "localblox" in the app name as well.
Oh, true, good idea. You can also use the search in settings which can find partial strings. Type "local" and see what you get.

Yes found local transport
So you think that is lockblox
Nothing else under "local"? I don't think that's the app you're looking for.
Well, thanks everyone.
It's a mystery. Lol
That's one of Att bloat apps in in att security manager
Thanks.
I delete all those att ,att wifi, security, all the games it comes pre-installed everthing lol
That's part of Google's own backup system: https://developer.android.com/guide/.../testingbackup
The local transport is?
I only showed that process as an example to search for partial strings in the settings :) That's a normal system app.
Yes -- that's not related to LocalBlox.
OK thanks
Has anyone figured out what the LocalBlox app is for sure? In the AT&T Mobile Security app in Manage Services it lists a bunch of apps that I have installed and 1 I can't find. Under the LocalBlox app it says "because you have the LocalBlox app". I searched in My Apps, File Manager, Settings/Apps with hidden apps shown, Google Play and Google Play/My Apps/Library but I can't find it. I'm thinking it's not important but figured I'd check to be sure.
Here's what I found: https://videal.com/cases/localblox-a...o%20be%20done.. Does that look familiar?
